TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

Microbiology: Basics knowledge of algal taxonomy and classification. Bacteria and Microalgae isolation, culture (from laboratory scale to mass cultures) and growth determination. Optical and fluorescence microscopy utilization. Bench top reactor utilization.
Molecular Biology: DNA extraction and purification techniques, PCR, ARDRA, T-RFLP, plasmid purification, high molecular weight plasmid isolation, restriction mapping, DNA ligation and E. coli transformation, in silico sequence analysis.
