RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research interests are focused on the development of the concepts and tools allowing:
- to better understand the basic processes governing the behavior of the vital and toxic elements, their interactions with various biotic and abiotic constituents of the aquatic systems, that are highly relevant to water quality and environmental risk assessment;
- to apply this fundamental knowledge to anticipate the combined effects of global change, chemical and physical stress on the water quality, to foresee the associated consequences and to prevent possible risks.
