Professor Giulia Neri-Castracane

Giulia Neri-Castracane is Associate Professor of Law at the University of Geneva, where she directs the Commercial Law Department and is affiliated with the Center for Philanthropy. She holds law degrees from the Universities of Geneva and Basel and a Ph.D. (summa cum laude) on corporate governance and CSR, awarded the Walther Hug and Joseph des Arts prizes. Admitted to the bar in 2012, she practiced business law in Geneva for a decade. Her research focuses on corporate law, governance, philanthropy, hybrid enterprises, and sustainability in business and finance. She is the author of various publications and is regularly invited to speak about these issues in seminars and colloquia in Switzerland and abroad. Her work has been supported by several research grants, including competitive funding from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).
