In December 2003, the rapidly rising waters of the Rhone winter turns to tragedy. The river levees break, killing people and thousands of other moves. It's the shock. We thought the river under control, but a staggering thing is clear: the frantic development of the river to subdue and enslave our needs, is partly responsible for the disaster. Too many dykes, dams too much, too much concrete, roads and railways enclose the Rhone. It was decided to "restore".

Through the story of this fascinating ecological and scientific adventure, the film echoes a beautiful idea that is needed in the world: giving back to the rivers built some space and freedom they need. Alongside researchers, this documentary takes us to the discovery of a real river body a living object, moving, beautiful and complex, the camera explores in all its dimensions. The opportunity to better understand what should be the river tomorrow.
