Piora–Lago di Cadagno –Ritóm: nature and environment field guide

The Val Piora is a real paradise and a region of predilection for scientific research and excursions in an exceptionally rich and varied alpine environment. It is for this reason that the  University of Geneva, together with the Alpine Biology Center of Canton Ticino and the University of Zurich, organizes annual training courses in environmental sciences, in geology and in biology. The "Guide to nature and environment" presented here provides an introduction to many scientific aspects of the region, from geology to hydrology, mineralogy, geochemistry and microbiology of water, flora, fauna, soils, environmental history and the history of the alpine economy. The guide can be downloaded in four different languages: French / Italian, German / English.
