America’s largest corn company, Corteva Agriscience, pledges no supply chain abuses. It’s hired a repeat offender in Iowa for years. 

GSEM Professor Dorothée Baumann Pauly highlights that smaller contractors often oversee workers’ rights in raw material supply chains. She stresses that lead firms must address labor vulnerabilities and cannot simply pass responsibility to lower tiers with slimmer margins and greater price pressure.
