The University Housing Office (BLOG) currently manages nearly 800 student accommodations, in the form of furnished rooms and studios, offering stable, affordable, and high-quality housing solutions for students and doctoral candidates.
BLOG fulfills an essential mission: to facilitate access to student housing at moderate rents. Housing is indeed a key condition for academic success and equal opportunities.
Through professional management and transparent allocation mechanisms, BLOG makes a significant contribution to the well-being of its student community

Important: plan your accommodation ahead of your arrival at the University of Geneva
Finding accommodation in Geneva can be challenging, particularly at the start of the academic year.
To maximize your chances, we strongly recommend starting your housing search as soon as you decide to come to Geneva.
The University of Geneva does not offer automatic allocation of student accommodation. We therefore encourage you to explore all available housing options as early as possible. Please also keep in mind that rents and the cost of living in Geneva are relatively high, which is an important factor to consider when planning your stay.
A Swiss residential address is required to obtain a student residence permit.
Please note that registration on the housing portal does not guarantee accommodation. We strongly encourage you to also explore solutions offered by our partners: AGLAE (Association genevoise pour le logement des étudiants) and 1h par m² (housing in exchange for assistance).
You may also consult listings posted by private individuals in our private accommodation section
