Programme Overview
Intergenerational and friendly housing
An excellent arrangement for those who enjoy interacting with another generation: a room in exchange for a helping hand. Students offer their hosts 3 to 5 hours of help per week: conversation in a foreign language, computer assistance, help with housework, shopping, babysitting—anything is possible, except personal care. Students pay their hosts compensation for living expenses of between 120 and 150 francs.
Since 2016, around 60 host-student pairs have been formed each fall for a cohabitation period that generally lasts from September to June and can be renewed.
Anyone wishing to offer a room can contact us at 022 379 74 00, or fill out the online form.
Students up to the age of 35 who are interested in this project and who are enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program at the University of Geneva, the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, or at a University of Applied Sciences (HES-SO Geneva) can contact us by email at: , explaining their motivations.
