An inspiring seminar from Prof. Michael Zimmermann
On Tuesday 31th of May, Prof. Michael ZIMMERMANN, Structural and Computational Biology Unit, EMBL, Germany, invited by Prof. Anne-Claude GAVIN gave an inspiring conference entitled “Identify microbiota contributions to xenobiotic metabolism and toxicity”.
His laboratory aims at expanding data on microbial biotransformation to improve their understanding of how the gut microbiome contributes to the metabolism and toxicity of medical drugs, work towards structure-based models that predict biotransformation of chemicals, contribute to the functional annotation of microbiome sequencing data and better understand metabolic host-microbiota interactions.
