Daniel Fuhrer holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and a Master's degree in European Studies from the University of Geneva (UNIGE). He worked for two years in the Geneva International environment, both at WIPO and within the NGO community. He did a six-month internship at SwissCore (Contact Office in Brussels for European Research, Innovation and Education) where he wrote a comparative study mandated by the SNSF on research funding instruments in Horizon 2020.
Daniel Fuhrer joined the Research and grants office (RGO) – Euresearch team as a scientific officer at the end of 2016. He is in charge of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships, SNSF Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowships, various European/international programs (EMBO, HFSP, UKRI, etc.) as well as the EURAXESS initiative
