A DISREGARDED PAST A DISREGARDED PAST

Currently studying for a master’s degree in chinese studies, Yang François Sum has been recruited by Ueli Zahnd to help with the digital side of A Disregarded Past, notably the Subproject E: The Index Theologico-Scholasticus. 

 

He has a keen interest in the relationship between Christianity and China, particularly in regards to the missionary Matteo Ricci’s accomodations of the christian dogmas and the Chinese Rites Controversy which ended the aforementioned accomodations during the 17^th-18^th  centuries.
