Research topics
The group comprises three research areas that all focus on the development of cognitive functioning across the lifespan and the mechanisms underlying those age-related changes.
(A) Experimental Cognitive Aging
Current topics include:
- Development of prospective memory, executive functions, and involuntary autobiographical memory across the lifespan
- Cognitive-affective interactions in cognitive aging
- Plasticity of executive functions across the lifespan
(B) Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience of Aging
Current topics include:
- Neural correlates of intentional behavior across the lifespan
- Psychoendocrinology of stress effects across the lifespan
- Clinical neuropsychology of neurodegenerative diseases (Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease)
(C) Applied Cognitive Aging
Current topics include:
- Aging work force
- Health behavior changes
