Biography

Christina Zavlanou is a research assistant at the University of Geneva and a PhD candidate in the Visual Media Computing Research Lab at Cyprus University of Technology. 
Both her work and her doctoral studies centre around the design and development of virtual reality-based applications.  
In particular, her work at The Laboratory of Multimodal Modelling of Emotion and Feeling (MMEF) and the Groupe de Recherche en Psychologie de la Santé (GREPS), involves the development of realistic-looking virtual environments and humans to be used for psychological testing and evaluation.
Her doctoral research investigates the use of virtual reality-based aging simulation as a supportive tool in age-friendly design.
Christina obtained her MSc degree in Design and Development of Computer Games and Interactive Technologies (University of Cyprus, 2014) and her BSc degree in Informatics and Telecommunications (University of Athens, 2011).
