Fondation Bertarelli Catalyst Fund 2021
The Catalyst Fund is aimed at fostering novel therapeutic approaches for diseases (including rare diseases) affecting the brain, the spinal cord, the peripheral nervous system, and the sensory organs.
This call is intended to fund research projects (including basic research approaches) designed to develop diagnostic procedures and/or therapeutic interventions for diseases/disabilities affecting the central and peripheral nervous systems and the sensory organs.
Researchers employed by an academic institution in Western Switzerland (Bern, Fribourg, Geneva, Jura, Neuchâtel, Valais, Vaud) are strongly encouraged to apply. Projects can be collaborative, and collaborations can involve academic institutions in the rest of Switzerland, Europe (including the United Kingdom), or the Middle East.
Projects will preferably be based at least in part at Campus Biotech in Geneva, including the use of its technological platforms. Projects with an institution outside Western Switzerland must be based at least in part at Campus Biotech (no less than 50% of the costs charged on the project). Preferential access to these platforms will be granted to Catalyst Fund awardees.
