An interesting lecture from Prof Gilles Mithieux

On the 6^th of May 2024, Prof. Gilles MITHIEUX, CNRS Biology, Lyon, France, invited by Dr. Monika GJORGJIEVA, gave a lecture entitled "Intestinal gluconeogenesis: an insight into the concept of Multiple Chronic Conditions ?".

Gilles Mithieux and his laboratory have discovered the gluconeogenic function of the intestine, previously known from the liver and kidneys. Their current work focuses on intestinal gluconeogenesis, with the aim of offering new perspectives for the prevention or treatment of metabolic diseases and the preservation of healthy ageing.a new regulator of energy homeostasis.
