May 6: a lecture from Prof Gilles Mithieux
On the 6th of May 2024, Prof. Gilles MITHIEUX, CNRS Biology, Lyon, France, invited by Dr. Monika GJORGJIEVA, will give a lecture entitled "Intestinal gluconeogenesis: an insight into the concept of Multiple Chronic Conditions ?".
The lecture will take place on May 6 at 11am in the room B04.2222, CMU.
Gilles Mithieux and his laboratory have discovered the gluconeogenic function of the intestine, previously known from the liver and kidneys. Their current work focuses on intestinal gluconeogenesis, with the aim of offering new perspectives for the prevention or treatment of metabolic diseases and the preservation of healthy ageing.a new regulator of energy homeostasis.
