Le FNS réduit son offre d'instruments de financement
|
Le Fonds national suisse (FNS) rejette les coupes massives prévues par le Conseil fédéral pour son budget dès 2027.
Il se prépare toutefois, en réalisant des économies dans plusieurs instruments d’encouragement:
|
- Spark est suspendu au moins jusqu’à la fin 2027;
- SPIRIT sera suspendu jusqu’en 2028 inclus;
- Le FNS ne lancera pas de nouvelle mise au concours pour les projets COST;
- Les Implementation Networks ne seront pas introduits après leur phase pilote;
- Le budget consacré aux partenariats européens est réduit de 25%.

NIH: Du nouveau pour les organismes étrangers
|
Le National Institute of Health (NIH) US a désormais une nouvelle procédure pour les demandes de financement de projets qui ont un ou plusieurs partenaires étrangers.

Le CTAO devient un European Research Infrastructure Consortium
|
Le 6 octobre aura lieu l’inauguration officielle du Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory (CTAO) en tant qu’ERIC (European Research Infrastructure Consortium), à Padoue, en Italie.
Le consortium suisse qui y est rattaché, a pour coordinateur le Prof. Della Volpe, du Département de physique nucléaire et corpusculaire de la Faculté des Sciences de l'UNIGE, et son adjoint, le Dr Matthieu Heller. Jusqu'à cet été, la coordinatrice du CTAO-CH était la Prof. Teresa Montaruli, également de l'UNIGE.
Le CTAO-CH est soutenu par le Secrétariat d'Etat à la Formation, à la Recherche et à l'Innovation (SEFRI) à hauteur de 12 millions sur cinq ans. Outre l'UNIGE, ses membres sont l’EPFL, l’ETH Zurich et le CSCS, l’UNIBE, l’UNIZH.

SNSF reduces its funding instruments
|
The SNSF rejects the massive budget cuts planned by the Federal Council from 2027.
At the same time, it is preparing itself. After close dialogue with all partners, it has decided to cut costs across several funding schemes.
|
- Spark will be suspended until at least the end of 2027;
- SPIRIT will be paused until and including 2028;
- The SNSF will not launch any new calls for COST projects.
- The implementation networks will not be continued after their pilot phase.
- The budget for European Partnerships will be reduced by 25%.

NIH, new procedure for foreign entities
|
The US National Institute of Health (NIH) has a new policy for funding applications for projects that have one or more foreign entities.

CTAO to become an European Research Infrastructure Consortium
|
On October 6, the Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory (CTAO) will be officially inaugurated as an ERIC (European Research Infrastructure Consortium) in Padua, Italy.
The Swiss consortium attached to it is coordinated by Prof. Della Volpe, from the Department of Nuclear and Particle Physics of the Faculty of Science at UNIGE, and his deputy, Dr. Matthieu Heller. Until last summer, the CTAO-CH coordinator was Prof. Teresa Montaruli, also from UNIGE.
CTAO-CH is supported by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) to the tune of CHF 12 million over 5 years.
In addition to UNIGE, its members are EPFL, ETH Zurich, CSCS, UNIBE and UNIZH.
