A Bachelor in Pharmaceutical Science from UNIGE or an equivalent degree.
THE MASTER IN PHARMACY
The aim of the Master's in Pharmacy is to provide students with Bachelor's degrees in pharmaceutical science with the knowledge necessary for a career in pharmacy in a range of different areas and specialisations (retail pharmacies, hospital pharmacies, industry, academia, clinical chemistry, administration, humanitarian organisations, etc.) Upon completing the Master's programme, the majority of graduates also sit the Swiss federal pharmacy examination.
The programme is composed of theoretical and practical training in every area of medication: discovery, conception, development, and the clinical, hospital and community aspects.
Students conduct individual research projects in academic, industrial or hospital laboratories. The course is supplemented with a number of practical internships in retail pharmacies and at the hospital.

First year (60 credits)
- Theoretical and practical classes and lectures
Second year (60 credits)
- Individual research project (20 weeks)
- Assistantship in a retail pharmacy (20 weeks)
- Chosen internships (6 weeks)
LEVEL OF FRENCH REQUIRED BY UNIGE
No French proficiency test required for non-Francophones.
Students may earn up to 30 credits while on exchange. They may also conduct research outside the university, under the supervision of a faculty member, or do a work placement at a leading external laboratory in order to complete their Master's degree.
EXCELLENCE MASTER FELLOWSHIPS
The Faculty of Science, with the support of external partners, has established an Excellence Fellowship program open to outstanding and highly motivated students who wish to pursue a Master of Science degree in one of the disciplines covered by the Faculty. Candidate selection is based on excellence.

- Clinical chemistry, medical analysis laboratories
- Humanitarian organisations.
