My student status

All questions regarding your admission (immatriculation or exmatriculation) should be addressed to the admissions office.

Please consult their procedures or contact the admissions office via their plateform.

• Registration / Enrollment to the University

You will find all this information at the Admissions Service to register.

• Leaving / Quitting the University

You need to visit the admissions office or contact them via their platform.

Please note that you are not allowed to quit your studies during an exam session!

• Confirmation / Attestation of registration

The student office does not provide such confirmations. You can print a confirmation of registration from your student portal (for the last 20 semesters) or contact the Admissions Office.

For any other confirmation regarding your studies at the Faculty of science, please send an email to the student office, by detailing your request and indicating name, first name, student number and postal address.

Some documents can be provided in English, however we do not translate grade transcripts.

The student office does not issue any confirmation for future semesters beyond the current semester.

• Leave of absence

Please download this form and return it, duly completed and signed, to the student office one month before the start of the semester.

• Student number (n°SIUS)

Your student ID number is your immatriculation number (n°SIUS).

It is on your student ID card, on the left hand side.

• Loss of the student card

You will find instructions on this page.

• Issues with the student card

Please send an email to the card service.

• Problem with the payment of student taxes

For any questions regarding your taxes, you can visit this page of the tax service.

• Student QR bill not received

For any questions regarding your taxes, you can visit this page of the tax service.

• Student QR bill indicating "bachelor" and not "master »

When the payment slips where printed, the database had not been updated yet. You can still pay the taxes using the payment slip.

• Change of address

You can modify your address directly on your student portal via "Mon UNIGE" -> "Données de contact étudiants" -> "Adresse".

You can also complete this form and return it to the student office.

Note: if the University of Geneva employs you as an assistant, you have to modify your address on your HR portal . It will be approved by the HR department.

• Change of name

You must communicate your new address to the admissions office through their plateform.

Note: if the University of Geneva employs you as an assistant, you need to contact L. PAREDES GAETE from the HR department by email .

• Becoming an unregistered student
