Planktonic foraminifera eDNA signature remains preserved after burial in marine sediments
New article in Scientific Reports shows that the planktonic foraminifera eDNA signature remains preserved after burial in marine sediments
A new study by Barrenechea and co-authors shows that planktonic environmental DNA (eDNA) of organisms preserved in marine sediments has the potential to record climatic and biotic changes in the pelagic community with the same spatial and temporal resolution as microfossils.
