IN NOVEMBER, Let's quit smoking together

Did you know that by quitting smoking for a month, you increase your chances of quitting smoking for good by five times? This year, the University of Geneva supports the "Month Without Tobacco" campaign and launches a contest #unigesansfumee to support her community..

#UNIGEsansfumee Contest

Are you taking the "Month without Tobacco" challenge, or have you already quit smoking?  How to participate  Share your experience about this month without tobacco through short videos or a brief text (tips for quitting smoking, challenges, encouragements, etc.) and:     

1) Send a private message with the hashtag #unigesansfumee to the Unigeneve Instagram account;    

or    

2) Respond to UNIGE's Instagram stories with #unigesansfumee, sharing your experience. 

Testimonials will be shared anonymously (excluding videos) on UNIGE's channels.  Prizes will be awarded for the best creations:

1st prize: UNIGE sports service voucher for the activity of your choice (worth CHF 120)    

2nd prize: Gift voucher for the UNIGE shop (worth CHF 80)    

3rd prize: Voucher for access to the grounds of the University Sports Centre (tennis, padel, volleyball, squash, football, badminton)

Smokeless UNIGE

The University* is applying the new Canton of Geneva's Law on the Smoking Ban in Public Places (LIF-K1 18), through an ambitious policy for prevention against addictions: it is strictly forbidden to smoke close to buildings in a perimeter  of 9 metres  away from any air intake  (door, window, ventilation, etc.) or up to the property limits.

Ashtrays are being moved away, or removed. Pocket ashtrays are available freely at the buildings' reception.
