Dr. Indrit Bègue is an Assistant Professor at the Department of psychiatry at the University of Geneva and senior psychiatrist at the University Hospital in Geneva, Switzerland. Her lab investigates the mechanisms and brain circuits in psychiatric disorders and their therapeutic potential, with a special interest for the cerebellum's role. Her lab is driven by a strong commitment to bridging the gap between clinical observations and translational applications, aiming to leverage neuroimaging-guided neuromodulation techniques to develop innovative therapeutic solutions along two axes: Axis 1: Clinical and precision psychiatry aims to explore the neurobiological underpinnings of severe, treatment-resistant psychiatric disorders and schizophrenia in particular, using advanced neuroimaging and clinical assessments for deep phenotyping and patient stratification to guide targeted treatments. Axis 2: Translational & interventional psychiatry aims at translating findings into interventions, with a focus on neuroimaging-guided TMS to correct circuit abnormalities and improve clinical symptoms. Collaborations with preclinical research ensure interventions are based on robust neurobiological understanding.

The Psych-EI Lab integrates experimental research with the exploration of individual differences. We apply this approach to investigating the cognitive and emotional processes underlying individual differences in emotional intelligence (EI). Major projects include the introduction of a new EI component related to how individuals process emotions and emotional information (or EIP component), which is responsible for spontaneous emotional behavior and quick responses to emotional stimuli; and the investigation of emotional hypersensitivity as a cornerstone of EI.

Geneva Motivation Lab - The Geneva Motivation Lab, directed by Guido Gendolla, is part of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Science (FPSE) at the University of Geneva. Our research and teaching projects comprise basic processes of motivation and self-regulation and applied issues like health psychology and the application of motivation research. The largest part of our research methods is experimental and focuses on the psychophysiology of motivation, especially cardiovascular processes involved in effort mobilization. Moreover, we study the role of implicit and explicit affective processes and personality in human motivation.

ZEGRa is a research group based at the University of Zurich in Switzerland and led by Prof. Dr. Anne Meylan. - Our research lies at the intersection of epistemology, metaethics and the philosophy of action and is, thereby, intended to bridge divides between theoretical and practical philosophy. Our research group is mainly — but not exclusively — interested in the following kind of questions: what counts as an irrational belief? What makes cognitive irrationality distinct from agentive irrationality (the one that occasionally characterizes our actions)? Is self-deception always reprehensible? What does it mean to believe things responsibly?

My team and I are interested in the potential of mobile health and gamification for augmenting the efficacy and compliance of health interventions for either therapeutic or educational purposes. We address this research at different levels ranging from applied to more fundamental science, using convergent methods from behavioural sciences, computer science and game design, as well as cognitive and affective neuroscience. These interests are reflected in a current FNS project which explores the potential of video games for training attention and mitigating paediatric anxiety. Another interest lies in the utility of serious games for health education. For instance, we currently develop a serious game for training healthcare professionals in chronic wound care (Innosuisse project in collaboration with the company Imito). Another current line focuses on perinatal mental health, in particular how m-health tools and online peer support may help to reduce stigma and encourage care-seeking in women at risk for suffering postpartum depression.
