Education:
Özlem Lakatos has attended universities in France, Canada, Switzerland, and Belgium. She studied law and political science at the University of Amiens (Bachelor / Licence in 2013) and at the University of Moncton (Master / Maîtrise with honors in 2014) and completed by European and Global studies at the University of Geneva and the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Master of Arts in 2016). She is currently pursuing a PhD in Social Sciences at the Institute of Gender Studies at the University of Geneva.

Özlem served as a Youth Counselor for the City of Amiens (2012–2014) and the Region of Hauts-de-France (2011–2015). She is also an alumna of the Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
She volunteered on several children’s rights-related projects with NGOs in Senegal (2013), the United Kingdom (2017), and Bulgaria (2017).
