Immunology Day 2026

Join us on June 16th for a collaborative symposium uniting researchers from across the Geneva and Arche Lémanique regions. This event focuses on the latest advancements in immunology, exploring the critical intersections of inflammation, infection, and cancer.

The day will feature a dynamic exchange of ideas, with alternating presentations from leading pharmaceutical industry representatives and distinguished researchers from the University of Geneva (UNIGE) and the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG).

This event is proudly co-organized by the University of Geneva and Light Chain Bioscience.

Keynote Speaker

Prof. Sebastian Amigorena, PhD

Research Director, Immunity & Cancer, Institut Curie, Paris, France

Member, French Academy of Science

Dr Sebastian Amigorena is Research Director at CNRS and Director of the INSERM “Immunity and Cancer” Unit (U932) at the Institut Curie in Paris.

An internationally recognised leader in immunology and immuno-oncology, Dr. Amigorena received his PhD in biochemistry and immunology from the University of Paris VII and completed postdoctoral training at Yale University. His research focuses on understanding how the immune system recognises and responds to tumours and translating these insights into cancer immunotherapies.

His work has led to landmark discoveries, including the role of inhibitory IgG receptors and the mechanisms of antigen cross-presentation by dendritic cells. More recently, his laboratory investigates the epigenetic programming of T-cell memory and the role of transposable elements in anti-tumour immunity.

Dr Amigorena has authored over 200 scientific publications and is a member of the French Academy of Sciences.

It is a pleasure to host Dr Amigorena for his presentation:

“Cryptic splicing and tumour immunity.”
