Postdoc Position – Vaccine Research
Duration: 3 years, full-time
Location: University of Geneva, Faculty of Medicine
The Centre of Vaccinology (Didierlaurent Lab) at the University of Geneva is recruiting a Postdoctoral fellow to lead a longitudinal study of immune responses to the recombinant shingles vaccine (Shingrix) in immunosuppressed patients (HIV, rheumatic, neuro-immunological diseases) vs healthy controls.
The project aims to investigate how vaccine-induced specific B cell and T cell repertoire is affected by disease and/or treatment, and the interplay with innate responses. The candidate is expected to use cutting-edge techniques (spectral flow cytometry and single-cell RNAseq analysis, T/B cell receptor analysis) to eventually identify signatures of altered immunity in the immunosuppressed individuals in collaboration with clinicians and bioinformaticians.
We offer:
- A stimulating environment within the internationally recognized Center of Vaccinology.
- Access to state-of-the-art facilities and bioinformatics support.
- A three-year position based at the Centre médical universitaire (CMU), Geneva.
Your profile:
- PhD in immunology or a related field
- Hands-on expertise in flow cytometry and/or single-cell RNA-seq (incl. TCR/BCR)
- First-author publications, excellent English, and strong communication/organizational skills.
Start date: December 1, 2025 (or upon agreement).
