Dr Manel Mejbri


In recent years, Dr Manel Mejbri has actively contributed to several collaborative international research studies in the field of pediatric rheumatology. She is currently involved in a retrospective study on baricitinib treatment for pediatric autoinflammatory diseases, in collaboration with Professor Brogan and Dr Papadopoulou at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.

She also contributes to the Pediatric Rheumatology European Society (PRES) JDM Working Group, focusing on the development of clinical management guidelines for juvenile dermatomyositis with interstitial lung disease.

In 2023, Dr Mejbri completed her Medical Doctorate thesis on PSTPIP1-associated myeloid-related proteinemia inflammatory (PAMI) syndrome, a rare autoinflammatory disease. She is currently engaged in an international collaborative project reviewing treatment strategies and disease progression in this condition.

Since 2022, she has participated in the JIR-CLIPS project with the vasculitis working group, addressing global clinical practice strategies for IgA vasculitis. Additionally, she is involved in several multicenter studies on systemic-onset juvenile idiopathic arthritis and other autoinflammatory diseases, in collaboration with Professor Hofer and Dr Theodoropoulou at CHUV.

Dr Mejbri's ongoing objective is to advance clinical research and strengthen Geneva's role as a leading centre for pediatric rheumatology.
