Daria is a PhD student in the lab of Patrick Meraldi at the University of Geneva. She graduated with honors from the International Master Program in Molecular Cell Biology of Sorbonne University in Paris, France. During her masters, she did internship at the Institut Curie in Paris where she was interested in migratory patterns of polyploid cells and in the Medical University in Tokyo, Japan, where she worked on cell senescence.
Daria has joined the lab in 2021 and is interested in mitotic consequences of insufficient microtubule minus-end depolymerization and its consequences on cell fate. In her work she uses live and fixed cell imaging, immunohistochemistry and molecular biology techniques.
Outside of the lab, Daria enjoys drawing, analog photography learning languages, exploring the city and reading.
