Professor Nicolas Duvoux

Professor of sociology at Paris 8 University and at University of Geneva, Nicolas Duvoux is an internationally recognized expert on issues of poverty, inequality and social justice. His work has led to his appointment as Chairman of the Committee advising the Prime Minister on policies to combat poverty and exclusion (2023-2027), and internationally as evaluator of the UN's annual report on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). His latest book, Wealth Forecast (Routledge, 2025), contributed to renewal of the study of inequality. He is currently focusing on the relationship between philanthropy and democracy in Europe.
