Philanthropy and Finance
Prof. Giulia Neri-Castracane and Prof. Giuseppe Ugazio
Prof. Giulia Neri-Castracane and Prof. Giuseppe Ugazio have been awarded funding from the SNSF for a four-year research project to identify the legal and behavioural barriers to developing impact investing in Switzerland.
This project, launched in September 2024, is supported by a team made up of Jeyamathy Wickramasingam, Maria-Cristiana Tudor and Jeremy Clauss. These researchers are currently developing a survey that will be sent out to various stakeholders, including philanthropic organisations, financial market participants, public authorities and pension funds.
The aim is to analyse differences in how impact investing is defined and practised and to understand the drivers and barriers to its wider adoption. The survey will be sent out in the first half of 2025, and the initial findings will be published later in the same year.
