Dr Roxana Vicovanu Bota

After studying French and English language and literature, as well as philosophy, in Cluj-Napoca (Romania) and Geneva, Roxana Vicovanu obtained a PhD in Romance languages and literature from Johns Hopkins University (2009). She has received several scholarships and research grants and has taught French and comparative literature at Paris 7 Denis Diderot University (2009-2010), the University of Neuchâtel (2012-2013) and the University of Geneva (2010-2011, 2013-2014).

Since 2012, Roxana has been a research and doctoral advisor at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Geneva, where she assists researchers in the preparation and submission of research projects, particularly to the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).

Roxana joined the Research and Grants Office (RGO) in March 2026. She advises researchers on SNSF career funding, especially Postdoc.Mobility and Ambizione.
