Preparing for your mobility
Admission requirements
The School of chemistry and biochemistry of the UNIGE Faculty of sciences welcomes you to its Bachelor's or Master's courses for one or two semesters.
The following conditions must be met:
- You must have been nominated by your home university as part of a collaboration agreement;
- Have received registration information from the UNIGE Academic Mobility Service;
Prepare your study plan at UNIGE
Most of the courses offered by the School are opened to incoming mobility students. At the following link, you will find all the classes from the course program of the School of chemistry and biochemistry which are opened to incoming mobility student:

To prepare your study plan at the School of chemistry and biochemistry, take in consideration:
- Bachelor students are not allowed to access Master classes.
- Bachelor classes are taught in French.
- Access to lab sessions (TPs) of the 2nd and 3rd year of the Bachelor (course codes 12C9xx and 13C9xx) is possible, subject to availability. Due to limited capacity, places are allocated based on the number of remaining spots. Please note that enrollment in the corresponding lecture(s) is mandatory to be accepted into the lab (e.g., you must take "Chimie Minérale I" to register for "TPs de Chimie Minérale I").
- Master classes are taught in English, except for classes whose title is given in French in the courses program, which are taught in French.
- Your study plan should be discussed with your home university’s mobility advisor to ensure it aligns well with your curriculum.
- Follow the instructions provided by the UNIGE mobility office.

Mandatory information meeting
Automn semester.

The information meeting is in common with Master's student of the School. At the end of the meeting, please personally go and meet with the academic advisor.
All courses start: Monday, September 15 – 1:15 PM.
Spring semester.
If you start your exchange for Spring semester. Book an appointment with the academic advisor of the School of chemistry and biochemistry.
Registering to your exam
To register for your exams, the following form must be submitted to the Faculty of science student office.
Registrations must be made during the "registration to course" period, according to the Faculty of sciences academic calendar. You will be notified by the Student Office by email.
End of your exchange
Exam Sessions
Following the Faculty of sciences academic calendar, exams sessions take place at the end of each semester. Resit exams take place in the end of August.
Transcript of records
The Faculty sends your official transcript of records directly to your University. You can also view an unofficial version of your grades directly on the UNIGE web portal.
