The DPNC receives a H2020 grant

The DPNC was granted a prestigious H2020 Future and Emerging Technologies Open project from the European Commission.  The project called 'Ionic Neuromodulation For Epilepsy Treatment (IN-FET)' will investigate a brand new type of technology for interfacing with brain tissue, with the goal of providing a technological platform to improve the life of epilepsy patients.  

The DPNC will contribute its expertise in simulations and machine learning to the project.  The project will start in January 2020 for 36 months and run in collaboration with SISSA (Trieste, Italy), IBM Research (Rüschlikon, Switzerland), the University of Sheffield (Sheffield, UK), IU.NET (Italy) and Multi Channel Systems (Reutlingen, Germany).
