New paper in Geology

New statistical research into the record of large explosive volcanic eruptions indicates that the frequency of different eruption sizes varies between different regions on Earth. This is important to understand regional volcanic hazard and also provides an opportunity to understand how crustal and tectonic processes may influence volcanic activity.
