New paper in Nature Geoscience
According to a pluridisciplinary study under the lead of UNIGE and published today in Nature Geoscience, the largest volcanic eruption of the last millennium would not necessarily have plunged the world into a societal crisis, severe food shortages and turmoil worldwide. To arrive to this conclusion, the climatic and societal impacts of the AD 1257 eruption have been studied in detail.
