Once the quota is reached, a reduced APC of $3000 applies (see "partial coverage of publication costs" below).

Publisher’s standard OA fee for authors will be reduced from US$3700 to US$2035.

In addition, the standard article processing charge (APC) applying normally for all published articles, is waived if the author chooses Open Access.*

Procedure

The corresponding author must indicate his/her affiliation to the University of Geneva when s/he submits the article.
Corresponding authors can change their minds later if they do not choose OA upon publication.

Note: if the article is published in one of the 61 aforementioned journals and if the option to publish in Open Access is not selected, the agreement still allows the self-archiving of the published version (editor's PDF) in Archive ouverte, in free access and without any embargo (green road of Open Access).
