Biography

Marco Civico is a researcher in the field of language policy and economics of multilingualism at the Observatoire Économie-Langues-Formation at the University of Geneva. He is also teaching assistant at the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation (FTI). He has worked on the MIME project (Mobility and Inclusion in Multilingual Europe) as a research assistant and he is also writing a thesis on the applications of complexity theory to the analysis of language policies. After being awarded a mobility scholarship by the SNF, he has been a visiting researcher in the Information Technology Department of Wageningen University in the Netherlands between 2018 and 2019. He defended his thesis in November 2020 and is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the FTI.
