The GEDT is pleased to announce the launch of a four-part podcast series on the academic journey of a doctoral research. Produced and hosted by Krittika Uniyal, this podcast series dives into the process of completing a PhD research from pre-inception to post-completion. Based on the testimonies of doctoral and early carrier researchers, each episodes provides a lively and insightful window into the challenges, solutions, and questions arising at every step of the way.
Whether you are a PhD student eager to learn from others’ experiences, thinking about starting a PhD, a relative trying to understand what this is all about, or already a Dr. looking back on your experience, embark with us!
In this first episode, “What’s the puzzle?” we discuss the initial stages of PhD research. Alice Guilbert, Ping Zeller, and Nicolas Leresche - three doctoral candidates at GEDT – share with us their initial impressions, challenges, and the process by which they transitioned from feeling lost in the literature to finally finding a direction.
