Clinical examination

Orchidometre.jpg

The clinical examination is performed by a urologist during an individual consultation. This lasts about 15 minutes.

Hairiness, urogenital apparatus and the presence of scars in the genital area are recorded. Then, possible malformations and other problems related to the urogenital system are investigated.

Using an orchidometer (photo on the left) the doctor can determine the volume of the testicles.

Ultrasound scanner

An ultrasound can effectively detect the possible presence of malformations (varicocele) or testicular cancers, as well as the size of the testicles.
