VIDÉPÉ: Web-app to interactively visualize multimodal data to improve epilepsy surgery evaluation

Brief description: VIDÉPÉ (Visualisation Interactive des Données pour l’Évaluation Préchirurgicale de l'Épilepsie) is a web-app to enable epileptolegists to display several neuroimaging modalities (e.g. T1-weighted imaging, PET and SPECT scans) and electrophysiological recordings in a unified framework during presurgical investigation for epilepsy resective surgery.

The project was led by Dr Roehri and Dr Rigoni, and was developed during the 8th HUG Hackathon, a 36-hour hacking marathon that took place between the 20th and 22nd of March 2025 at the Innovation Centre of the University Hospitals of Geneva (HUG). At the Journée de l'Innovation des HUG 2025, it received the "Prix Pépite" for the Proof of Concept cathegory. The project has also received further support from the Fondation Privée des HUG, for the call "Autour des patients".

Based on NiiVue package, the app is open-source and can be used on any operating system and web device. The app is under development to improve usability and expand functionalities (i.e. intracranial EEG and connectivity analyses).
