Expression in bacteria or in insect cells
In bacteria: Protein expression can be done at different temperatures (16°C to 37°C) at many scales (50 mL to 10L).
In insect cells: Protein expression is performed using the Bac-to Bac system (Invitrogen) and can be done at many scales (50mL to 2L)
We can provide DNA vectors for protein expression in different hosts and with various tags
Purification
Our aim is to produce any protein for a dedicated application. The protein can be used for biochemical experiments, for structural investigations and used as an antigen for antibody production.
Proteins can be expressed in bacteria, insect cells (Sf9) and mammalian cells
Single-step purification generally gives a 90% pure protein ( His-tag, STREP-tag, GST-tag )
Several additional purification steps can be applied
- Ion exchange chromatography
- Proteolytic tag removal using TEV ; HRV-3C (Prescission) ; ULP1
- Size-exclusion chromatography
Training
It is possible to ask the platform for protein expression and purification
After training it's possible to book only the instruments
