IP Researchers Europe conference (IPRE) 2025
Geneva
19 - 20 June 2025

The School of Law of the University of Geneva (UNIGE) was pleased to host the IP Researchers Europe Conference (IPRE) 2025 in Geneva on 19-20 June 2025 in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the World Trade Organization (WTO). As in previous editions, IPRE 2025 took place at WIPO on Thursday, 19 June 2025, and the WTO on Friday, 20 June 2025.
IPRE was created in 2018 to convene IP scholars in Geneva, a city privileged for its position as an international forum for policy debates about current and future IP laws and policies. Since then, the Conference has brought together academic researchers from Europe and beyond to discuss their works-in-progress with other colleagues and policymakers.
IPRE 2025 was again linked to the 2025 WIPO-UNIGE Intellectual Property Summer School (IPSS). The objective of the interactions between the two programs is to allow the participants of IPSS to join the IPRE sessions, promoting mutually stimulating interactions, and capitalizing on the joint presence in Geneva of the participants of these programs to promote a Geneva-connected global IP community.
The Program of IPRE 2025 is available here, and the Biographies of the Conference Speakers are available here.
Once again, participants at IPRE 2025 enjoyed the Conference both for the important conversations related to IP topics and their scholarship, and because of the collegiate atmosphere that has characterized the event since the first edition. Selected Testimonials from participants are available here.
At this time, the Organizers anticipate that the next edition of the IPRE Conference will likely take place in June 2026.
