Pro-oxidant effects of nano-TiO2 in lake water


Despite significant agglomeration in lake water  nano-TiO2 can generated ROS under UV light and promoted ROS accumulation in green microalgae during short-term exposure to high nano-TiO2 concentrations. However, the extracellular and intracellular pro-oxidant processes differ significantly and depend on the exposure medium, time, UV pre-illumination as well as particle concentration.
