NEURINOX Symposium
The University of Geneva,(Professor Karl-Heinz Krause) is the coordinator of the project NEURINOX, an FP7 EU funded consortium. Together with the other members of the consortium, we will be hosting a symposium on Innovative Concepts for Treating Neurodegenerative Diseases. This will be held over the 23rd and 24th September at the Molecular Biotechnology Centre in Torino (Italy), with a focus on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig Disease), epilepsy, and multiple sclerosis.
The event is addressed to scientists, patient groups and the pharmaceutical industry:
- Day1 will mainly address the interested public : patients associations / students / journalists and will focused on the 3 main diseases;
- Day 2 will be devoted to scientific and industrial communities, and will be structured around the 3 following points:
- Disease pathophysiology
- Biomarker discovery and personalized medicine
- Development of new therapies
