Being a Leader - Workshop
This Leadership Course may be the most important breakthrough in the study of leadership that we have seen yet.
Michael C. Jensen, Harvard Business School.
BEING A LEADER AND THE EFFECTIVE EXERCISE OF LEADERSHIP
The sole objective of this highly interactive, challenging and stimulating course is to leave you being a leader and exercising leadership effectively as your natural self-expression.
What is leadership?
The experts themselves don't agree on the definition. In this course, you will discover that leadership is not what you thought it was. You will discover that everyone can be a leader, that you do not need to have a formal leadership role or position to lead, and that leadership starts with being able to lead yourself. You will also discover that there are instances in which you can only be effective as a leader by being a follower or by saying and doing nothing, just listening in a certain way.
Why this workshop?
A 6-day immersive leadership workshop designed and delivered by recognized experts, providing essential, often-missing tools for academic and clinical careers.
A rare opportunity
Such immersive leadership training is usually financially and geographically inaccessible. Thanks to the support of the Dean’s Office, this exceptional 6-day workshop is made accessible to participants ranging from postdoctoral researchers to senior faculty and clinicians.
What our colleagues say
Dr Matteo Coen, SMIG/UDREM: You truly get what’s promised: leadership as a natural self-expression. This experience reshapes how you lead—starting with yourself—in a way that’s deeply transformative and absolutely worth the commitment.
Prof. Jean-Luce Reny, SMIG chair: The course helps understand what leadership really means and it is both highly practical and conceptually strong.
