September 26: a lecture from Prof. Mark von Zastrow
On Friday 26th of September, Prof. Mark VON ZASTROW, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), USA, invited by Prof. Miriam STOEBER will give a lecture entitled "Cellular Organization and Regulation of Receptor-mediated Signal Transduction".
His lecture will take place on Friday 26th of September at 2 pm in the auditorium P Boymond B02.2226, CMU.
His research focuses on signaling initiated through G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), and on the dynamic interplay between receptor trafficking and signaling mechanisms. His lab is particularly interested in how signaling and trafficking interface in morphologically complex cells such as neurons, where GPCRs are key mediators of physiological neuromodulation and are important targets for both clinically useful and illicit drugs.
