Geneva History Seminar
Geneva has attracted a growing number of historians with interests in comparative, international, and global history in recent years. With a view to establishing a scholarly forum in which we can meet and exchange ideas, we are proposing a new research seminar, the Geneva History Seminar.
The seminar series is a joint initiative of the University of Geneva Department of History and Paul Bairoch Institute of Economic History as well as the Department of International History of the Graduate Institute. Its objective is to facilitate ongoing intellectual collaboration, in Geneva and beyond, on topics that can be broadly defined as transnational history. The inaugural programme for the upcoming academic year, 2012-2013, is attached and we hope you will find it exciting. Building a vibrant intellectual community in Geneva around our various interests in comparative, international, and global history depends on your talent and enthusiasm.
---------------------------------------------
