The Empty Office - June 11 2026

Welcome to the final meeting of The Empty Office, a project funded by the Swiss Network for International Studies that explores how teleworking is reshaping social relationships and well-being. Using Social Network Analysis, the project has collected data on more than 28,000 social ties from teleworkers in Switzerland, Spain, Germany, and the Netherlands.

This event presents the main findings of the project, with contributions from special guests who will share additional insights from research conducted in Switzerland and worldwide. Speakers include Cevat Giray Aksoy (King's College London), Laurenz Meier (University of Zurich), and representatives from the world of business and public institutions.
