Résumé:
This thesis critically evaluates the legal and substantive constraints in ARIPO’s trademark framework under the Banjul Protocol, demonstrating how limited harmonization and enforcement hinder regional integration, and proposing reforms informed by international trademark standards and comparative insights from OAPI and the European Union to strengthen Africa’s regional trademark system.
