Short description
Audrey Lambiel is an environmental scientist with a background in biology and geomatics. She applies spatial modeling, GIS and programming tools to study environmental change. Having previously contributed to projects on ecological infrastructure and environmental assessment (ValPar.CH and GE-21) within the EnviroSPACE group, she now conducts her PhD research within the European MONALISA project. Her work focuses on improving the understanding of the processes driving land degradation and desertification and assessing their impacts on ecosystem functions. Ultimately, her research aims to provide more robust and policy-relevant information to support effective restoration planning, ecosystem services protection, and sustainable land-use decision-making.
