Agnès Baehni

Assistante de Julien Deonna et Fabrice Teroni

Welcome to my page !

I am a PhD candidate and doctoral assistant at the university of Geneva, working under the supervision of Julien Deonna and Fabrice Teroni. I specialize in ethics, metaethics and philosophy of mind. More specifically, my PhD project explores the moral self-relationship, i.e, the question whether, and if so how, we relate morally to ourselves. This has led me to think and write about different topics : self-blame, self-forgiveness, duties to oneself, self-partiality and self-reflexive emotions such as guilt, shame and self-anger.

More recently, I have started to write on more positive aspects of our lives such as the emotion of joy or the prudential value of doing things "for the plot". Don't hesitate to e-mail me for a draft.

You can find my website here.
